GARDEN & PATIO WORKS

What we can help with.

We can discuss the ground levels, access, drainage and finish you want before setting out what the quotation includes. Exterior work can form part of a larger extension or refurbishment, or be scoped as a separate job.

What can be included?

We agree the work with you before starting. Depending on your plans, this can include:
  • NSite preparation and excavation
  • NGround levels and drainage considerations
  • NSub-base and paving
  • NEdges and finishing
  • NWaste removal where included
THE DETAILS THAT MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

A patio needs more than a good-looking surface.

Ground preparation, drainage and the relationship to the house matter as much as your choice of paving. Tell us how you want to use the space and what needs to change.

Ground levels

Consider the height of doors, existing paths and adjoining areas when discussing the proposed finished levels.

Water drainage

Agree how surface water will be managed and which drainage work belongs in the quotation.

Access & materials

The route through or around the house, waste removal and chosen paving affect the practical plan.

EXPLORE THE POSSIBILITIES

Find the right fit for your home.

Patio preparation

Excavate and prepare suitable levels and a base for the agreed finish.

Stone paving

Lay chosen paving with attention to falls, edges and adjoining surfaces.

Garden alterations

Discuss levelling, clearance and related work needed around a new layout.

THE COMPLETE PROJECT

From start to finish.

One coordinated project, with the work, materials and responsibilities agreed in your quotation.
Specialist design and approval requirements depend on the property.

01

Measure & agree the finish

Discuss the area, existing and proposed levels, access, paving, edges, drainage, waste and who supplies each material.

02

Prepare the ground

Remove the existing surface where agreed, excavate to the required depth, arrange waste removal and prepare the base.

03

Install the base & paving

Complete the specified sub-base and drainage details, then lay the chosen paving with agreed falls, edges and transitions to adjoining surfaces.

04

Check & complete

Review levels, drainage falls and finished edges, clear the work area and complete agreed making-good before handover.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR QUOTE

What shapes the cost?

Your quotation is based on your property and the work agreed. These are some of the things we consider.

Excavation & disposal

The existing surface, depth of preparation and amount of waste influence the work.

Base & drainage

The required sub-base, falls and drainage details depend on the site and chosen finish.

Paving & edges

Stone selection, cuts, borders, steps and finishing details affect supply and installation.

Send your postcode, a short description and any drawings. We can then discuss the work, materials and
next steps.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Your questions,
answered.

Can you quote for labour only?
K
L

Tell us which materials you intend to supply. We can discuss labour and preparation separately and clarify responsibility for quantities, deliveries and waste removal.

Can a skip and waste removal be included?
K
L

Yes, discuss access and disposal with us so the quotation states what is included and whether any separate arrangements are needed.

Can the garden work follow an extension?
K
L

Yes. We can discuss the patio, levels and exterior finishing alongside the extension so the connection between the house and garden is considered early.
