This notice covers the iLoft Conversions website at https://iloftconversions.co.uk/ and enquiries made through our linked online form.
Who is responsible for your information?
iLoft Conversions Ltd is responsible for the personal information described here (company number 08536941). You can contact us at info@iloftconversions.co.uk or write to 36 Hall Rd, Stratford, London, E15 2BT.
What information may we receive?
- Enquiries and quotations: your name, email address, phone number, property postcode or address, the service you are interested in, your project description, and any plans, drawings or photographs you choose to send.
- Messages and calls: the information you provide when you email, call or message us, and our replies and notes about your enquiry.
- Saved services: services you save on this website are stored in your browser on your device so they can appear on your Saved Services page. They are not sent to iLoft or synced to another device. You can clear them in your browser storage or remove each saved item on the site.
- Website operation: the website platform may process basic technical information, such as an IP address, browser/device details, requested pages and request times, to deliver, maintain and protect the website.
The contact page’s email option prepares a draft in your email app. The website does not send that draft. Your details are sent to us only if you choose to press Send in your email app. The separate online enquiry button opens our form on iloftconversions.co.uk, where you can submit details and upload plans or images.
How we use information and our reasons
- To answer questions, discuss a quotation and take steps you request before entering a contract. This is necessary to respond to your request or take pre-contract steps.
- To manage an agreed project, communicate with you, provide aftercare and deal with warranty matters. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep business, tax and accounting records and meet legal duties. This is necessary to comply with legal obligations.
- To protect the website, prevent misuse, maintain our records and improve our service. Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests are running and protecting our business and website in a proportionate way.
- To send marketing by email or text only where we have your consent or another lawful permission. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe instructions or contacting us.
You do not have to provide information. If you do not provide details needed to understand your project or contact you, we may not be able to prepare a quotation or provide the requested service.
Who we share information with
We share only information needed for the relevant purpose. This may include our website and email service providers, IT and security support, professional advisers, and people involved in delivering or assessing your project, such as relevant employees, tradespeople, consultants or suppliers. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. These service providers may process information on our instructions and must protect it.
If you follow a link to another organisation’s website or messaging service, that provider may process information under its own privacy terms.
How long we keep information
- Enquiries that do not become a project are normally kept for up to 24 months after our last meaningful contact, then deleted or securely destroyed unless we need them for a complaint or legal claim.
- Project, invoice and tax records are kept for the periods required by law. Company tax records are generally kept until at least six years after the end of the relevant accounting period, and longer if a tax enquiry remains open.
- Project and warranty information may be kept for the applicable warranty period and for as long as reasonably needed to resolve an active complaint or legal claim. We review it and securely delete it when it is no longer needed.
- Saved services remain in your browser until you remove them or clear that browser’s stored data.
Cookies and browser storage
This version of the website does not deliberately use advertising or analytics cookies. It uses browser storage only when you choose to save a service, so that choice can be shown again on your device. You can clear browser storage through your browser settings. Our hosting or security provider may use technical measures needed to deliver and protect the website. If we add optional analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this notice and ask for consent where required before using them.
Keeping information safe and where it is processed
We use access controls and other appropriate safeguards to protect information. Our website, email and business service providers may process information in the UK or other countries where they operate. Where international transfers occur, we require an appropriate legal transfer safeguard. No method of sending or storing information is completely risk-free, so please avoid including information that is not needed for your enquiry.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to certain uses, or request a portable copy. If we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing already carried out. To make a request, email info@iloftconversions.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page when our information practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last reviewed.
